Good overview, slow update

I used Experian's free credit score and also checked out the credit card comparison tool. It was easy to navigate and gave a decent snapshot of my financial health. I found a few credit card options that looked interesting, but the score didn't seem to update as quickly as I'd hoped, which was a minor drawback.

Boosted my score!

I tried Experian Boost for free and it really made a difference! My credit score went up a few points pretty fast, I was really happy about that. The process was super easy to link my accounts. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on my score with them. I'd tell anyone to try it out, it worked for me!

is the free credit score on experian actually free? like, for good, or do they eventually try to charge you?

R Rosa T. 2 months ago
Yeah, it's genuinely free forever. I've been using it for years and never paid a penny for the basic score.

The free score is definitely free. They do have premium services like CreditExpert that are paid, but you get a free trial for that and can cancel before it charges.

hey, trying to decide between experian and clearscore. anyone have a preference for which one gives better info?

N Nina 3 months ago
I use both, but I find Experian's detailed report a bit more, well, detailed. ClearScore is good for a quick look though.

Experian and TransUnion are the big ones for lenders here, so Experian probably has a bit more weight with credit decisions. ClearScore is also good, but if you want the real deal, Experian is probably it.
